Backstage at Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert Tuesday night, October 28, Lil Wayne had a brief interview with U.S. radio station, Power 105.1, to which he revealed he helped delivering his newborn son Dwayne Carter III. "I delivered him. I held the left leg the whole time," the hip-hop artist stated with delight. Recalling his presence on the delivery room the day his baby boy was born on October 22, Wayne said, "It was nasty, very nasty," but he quickly added, "it was wonderful." He went on gushing about little Dwayne, "Oct. 22, 9:25 A.M., 7 lbs., 12 oz. He's the best thing to ever happen to me, next to my daughter." The full interview can be heard on the official site of Power 105.1 radio station.

The rapper first announced the news that he was expecting a son at the BET Awards (Oct 18). “I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him,” Now less than a week after his announcement - its official, Wayne has a son. The newborn, named Dwayne Carter III, was born yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Lil' Dwayne Carter III is the rapper's first son and second child – the rap star already has a daughter called Reginae Carter with high school sweetheart Antonia "Toya" Johnson. Wayne remains tight-lipped about the identity of the mother of his new son. Congratulations to Mr Carter.

On Tuesday night, October 14, Kanye West held a listening party, where nude women stood and posed in silhouette, for his upcoming fourth major studio album "808's & Heartbreak", which will come out on November 25. Inviting more that 700 selected guests, West signed Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft to create the live art show for the at-least-40 naked models. While Beecroft's models slowly changed their positions against a wall of bright colored light on each song, West performed with electro "auto-tune" effect for his new songs, including "Love Lockdown" and "Heartless". One of the performed songs called "Coldest Winter" was revealed to be written in honor for his mother, Donda West, who died at age 58 last year following complications from cosmetic surgery. "The irony for me, someone who has talked about so many labels - Louis Vuitton this, Benz that, this girl look good, I'm not going out with you if you don't look good - the irony, for me to lose the most important person to Hollywood," he shared his grief further. "And now it's time to deliver ideas in the most naked form possible." Revealing that he liked the "idea of nudity because society told us to wear clothes at a certain point," the rapper added, "I've always been a fan of Vanessa's work and strong imagery." Among the guests at the party were celebrities Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Q-Tip, Jimmy Kimmel, and Mike Rapaport among others.

His latest album, "Tha Carter III," has been out only since May, but rapper Lil Wayne is already recording its follow-up.According to his blog on ESPN.com, the rapper is in the studio working on "Tha Carter IV" as well as a new mixtape. The latter, "Dedication 3," will fall under DJ Drama's "Gangsta Grillz" series and "you can expect (it) real soon," Wayne said. In a nod to his well-recognized prolific output, Wayne said that immediately after "Dedication 3" comes out, he'll re-release it "with 20 extra songs for free on my Web site." "Tha Carter III" is far and away the best-selling album of 2008, having shifted 2.5 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Lil Wayne is also collaborating with T-Pain for a highly anticipated duet album, "T-Wayne," which is slated for 2009. "We've got three or four songs we've finished," T-Pain told Billboard. "They don't really have titles. We're just doing music and however it comes out, it comes out." The singer said the tracks won't sound like his current Wayne-featuring single, "Can't Believe It," but will have the collective flair shown on tracks like "Got Money." Wayne will take a break from recording later this month to play the Voodoo Music Experience on October 25 in his New Orleans hometown, and will drop by Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert three days later in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Bassist Pete Wentz said that rapper lil wayne and Blondie vocalist Debbie Harry will be on the album. "We got Wayne and Debbie Harry cameos done," Wentz wrote in an e-mail to MTV. "Pharrell (Williams) produced a track too. I just think the record is going to be diverse. It goes all the way between (Blondie and Wayne)."
